M320 Pennsylvania wooden Lantern featuring four glass panels contained within a wooden post construction frame retaining an old red painted surface. Tiny, looped wire hinges on the door. The make-do hood that protects the internal flame from wind/rain is created with part of an old metal can. A wire bail handle is attached to the top.

Single sided, featuring original hand-painted lettering done in white with black shadowing on a red painted background. The back of the sign also bears its original red painted surface.

M323 Excellent early 20th century Hand-hooked Rug from Maine depicting a Rooster crowing at the rising morning sun with a house in the distance with smoke from a cozy morning fire escaping the chimney. Vivid colors of various wool fabrics are very tightly hooked on old burlap. The maker’s creative placement of colors adds a feeling of depth to the overall scene. A border of multiple rows of browns creates the appearance of a frame to this unique rug. Not mounted.

M263 19th century New England painted Apothecary with ten (10) drawers in a nine-over-one configuration retaining its old mustard yellow painted surface. The wood is pine with square head nail construction. Circa 1850s.

ET2 (G340) Nice, sturdy late 19th century Lancaster County, Pennsylvania original mustard grain painted Harvest Table. The apron is mortised and pegged into the turned legs. Great wear. Circa 1860s-1880s.

M273 Early 19th century Pennsylvania small sized hand-woven berry basket bearing its wonderful original olive green painted surface. Single wrapped double rim with tightly woven sides. The wooden steamed and bent, notched handle is sturdy and tight. In good condition with great surface. Measurements: The 6 ½” – 7” top diameter diameter circular opening tapers down to rest on a 3 ½” round base. Sides are 4 ¼” - 4½" tall, depending on where measured. Overall height at top of handle is 8 ¼” tall.

Tiny wire loop hinges allow the door to open freely for access to the crudely made circular sheet iron grease/oil lamp rather than a regular candle socket.

M262 19th century Mid-Atlantic flat wall cupboard bearing early blue painted surface. Unusual layout with two doors over one door configuration. The wood is yellow pine with square head nailed construction. Remnants of beaded edges by the door openings. This fantastic work was hand drawn and hand carved from a single block of wood, then hand painted with great details! Signed by maker, B.D. Homan of Freeport, Long Island, NY. L406 19th century New England 12 drawer Apothecary in original Windsor green paint with dovetailed case and drawers, resting on an applied bracket base with decoratively cut out feet. The wood is pine with small wire nail and dovetail construction. Circa 1840s. Measurements: 34 ½” wide x 10 ½” deep (top) x 11 ½” deep (base) x 22” tall.

M276 19th century Pennsylvania original red and black painted and decorated box with hinged lid and clean, natural patina interior featuring a dust molding edge. Box retains what appears to be the original lock and hinges.

M308 Exceptional early 19th century identified and dated, hand-stitched sampler by “Catharine O Hevius Aged 11 years January 29th 1828”. Sampler is stitched with what appears to be cotton threads over linen material and boasts blues, green, brown, and ecru colors. Features a central verse entitled “On Education” above her identification and the full Bible verse of “Prov. 31st chap 30. 31st verses” below. This fantastic work is surrounded by an intricate vine and flowers along all four edges.

J446 Fantastic double sided wooden trade sign advertising “Hay’s Restaurant” with a painted hand pointing the direction. The lettering and directional on each side is hand painted in original black paint with green highlighting / shadowing on a white background

The rectangular form boasts tight weave with a double wrapped, double rim with handle that is woven into the sides and secured with a small tack on each side.

Cobalt stripes alternate with straight and squiggly lines which adds to the visual appeal of this crock. Slightly tapered shoulder with beaded edge and a flat wax sealer rim.

**SOLD** M267 19th century hanging cupboard bearing two raised panel doors and original blue painted surface. The wood is pine with two fully mortised raised panel doors, and dovetailed case with square head and small wire nail construction. Original turn knob secures the doors closed. Natural patina interior. Removeable shelf (later addition) inside the left door, whereas the right contains an open interior.

M270 19th century Pennsylvania signed original green painted wooden Lantern featuring four bubbled glass panels (small crack in the corner of one panel) contained within a wooden pinned and post construction frame. The initials "FH" are punched into the underside of the lantern. The door to access the interior candle socket is attached with tiny wire hinges and secured with a tiny wire loop and latch. There is a hole in the top for ventilation purposes which is covered on the exterior with a curved piece of sheet metal to create a hood that protects the candle flame from wind/rain. A wire bale handle is attached to the top for carrying/hanging purposes – with one handle attachment that comes loose due to a large age/heat separation in the wooden top. Circa mid-1800s. From an estate in Chambersburg, PA. Measurements: 4 ¾” x 5” square x ~9 ¾” tall – not including handle.

M290 Early 19th century framed handwritten Steam Boat Ledger for Ham Deliveries – Dated 1831. This original document indicates the names and 14 individual delivery addresses for a total of 108 hams in all. It is signed and dated “Wm Black Jr – Apr 19 1831”. The reverse has an open area in the matting so the handwritten address can be viewed. It reads: “Mr. John Miers – Philadelphia Steam Boat – with 108 hams”.

M297 19th century Pennsylvania hand woven splint Gathering Basket in original blue painted surface. Very sturdy basket with shallow sides and a double steamed and bent rimmed opening with a 1 1/8” wide steamed and bent handle secured with tiny tacks and a tin “T” bracket on each side of the handle-basket junction for added support.

M292 Lifelike Folk Art carving of a baby Black-capped Chickadee perched upon a branch – signed and dated “Rosalyn Leach Daisey 1989” on bottom. All wooden, hand carved and painted, with exceptional details.

M291 Folk Art Carved Frog Decoy carved by Ryan Dockiewicz (b.1974) of Cape Charles, Virginia. Signed and dated ’09 on bottom. This talented Virginia carver is known for utilizing his imagination to create Folk Art fish and decoy carvings featuring oversized eyes and brightly colored paint patterns. Mounted on a wooden stand for display purposes.

M293 Exceptionally detailed hand carved and painted Folk Art carving of a Chickadee with a sunflower seed perched on an ‘Iron’ Railroad Spike (all wood) signed and dated “Ciesielski 2001” on the bottom. The carver, Vincent A. Ciesielski (b. 1938 – d. 2021) of Harrisburg, West Hanover Township, Pennsylvania, is known for his realistic, superb details in each lifelike carving.

RM1648 Hand woven Swing Handle natural basket - signed "NEWT WASHBURN" on bottom. Tightly woven with double wrapped, double rimmed top with steamed and bent, notched handles that are woven into the sides to secure the swing handle to the basket.. Newt Washburn (b. 1915) of Vermont

L166 Unique late-18th century to early 19th century Lancaster County, Pennsylvania original red painted two-piece stepback cupboard boasting an unusual configuration resting on an applied dovetailed bracket base with decorative cut out feet. The layout of the top consists of two fully mortised and pegged split panel doors that open to reveal shelves with plate grooves and a spoon rack along the shelf fronts. The layout of the lower part of the cupboard consists of two dovetailed drawers over two panel doors with five smaller dovetailed drawers in the center.. Circa 1780 – 1810.

L236 Early 19th century hand forged iron tabletop rush light with counterweight arm to keep the rush grippers tight. Mounted in a turned wooden base with remnants of original red paint.

H952C 19th century turned wooden Mortar and Pestle in original black painted surface. Nicely turned shape with simple incised ring around the outside and a molded interior lip. Natural patina interior.

L438 Late 18th Century New England Candle Stand in original blue painted surface circa 1760 -1790 with a very beautiful turned center column resting on three padded feet that are dovetailed into the column. The one board top is secured by early wooden pegs to which is attached to the base. Wonderful, early, iron blacksmith made brace is added to secure legs, which is nicely done. The wood is walnut. The candle stand is all original.

K1854 Mid-19th century York County, Pennsylvania one door cupboard with original blue painted surface and turned feet. The fully mortised door is surrounded with a crisp beaded edge and opens to reveal a clean, natural patina interior. Case is dovetailed at the bottom. Circa 1850s.

J421 19th century wooden bowl with lipped rim, distinct turnings and slightly tapered / raised foot bearing a beautiful original blue painted surface and natural patina interior with evidence of slow turnings and chop marks from use. This fantastic basket features double steamed and bent rims that are double wrapped and a thick, steamed and bent handle that is notched and woven into the sides of the basket. Woven bumped up bottom interior to aid with weight distribution and enhance airflow for gathered items.

**SOLD** M244 19th century wooden Butter Churn retaining early blue paint. Staved sides secured with metal bands and notched handmade wooden lid that fits snug around the top handle. The round plunger bottom with holes is attached to the shaft and all parts are original. Circa late 1800s.

M236 Rectangular gathering basket in original robin egg blue paint. Extremely sturdy woven basket boasts double steamed and bent rims that are double wrapped and a thick, steamed and bent handle that is notched and woven into the sides of the basket. The bottom of the basket features 1 ¼”- 1 ½” wide woven slats.

M239 Excellent example of an early 18th century – identified - New England original green painted Sea Chest bearing a hand painted Mariner’s Compass on top of the lid and a variation of one on the inside of the lid. The front panel bears two hand painted flags facing each other. Lidded till inside bears the name “J. A. Lanham” painted in green along the edge of the till’s lid. Six board construction with “T” nailed case and interior strap hinges are secured with rosehead nails. The interior bears natural patina. Original rope and wooden Becketts (handles) remain intact.

RM1647 Pair of hanging wall sconces featuring a brass flaming torch motif mounted on an oval wooden backplate with each of the candle arms constructed of bent and curled, “US” marked Bayonets. One of the sconces features two bayonets with nickel plated surfaces

RM1646 Miniature rib and split oak hand-woven egg / buttocks basket in original green and white painted surface featuring single wrapped rim with Eye of the Wind God detailed weaving at junction of the two major ribs that construct the handle and rim.

M252 19th century punched tin Lantern retaining original worn, gray painted surface. Symmetrically punched and pierced patterned designs consisting of dots and dashes, along with circular holes in conical top for venting purposes. Door, which is “hinged” with wire loops, opens freely for easy access to interior candle socket and retains its original working hasp closure (loop is missing on cylinder). Attached round metal handle at the top for carrying / hanging. Found in Pennsylvania. Measurements: ~15” tall (including ring) x 5 1/8” diameter.

RM1636 Late 18th century to early 19th century pewter oil lamp sometimes called a “slush lamp”. These were used in place of wax candles to burn much cheaper fuel sources such as whale oil or other fats. This design features a center shaft with central drip tray and top reservoir with wick holder where the oil was placed and a wick was lit to provide light.

Circa late1930's. Overall dimensions of the diorama are 14 ¾” tall x 12 ¾” wide and the beautiful oak case is 3 3/8" deep. The viewing area (glass) measures 9 5/8” tall x 7 ½” wide.

**SOLD** L500 Small 19th century New England firkin bearing original blue painted surface. Thick walled staved and bentwood construction with wire bail swing handle with wooden handle grip. Overlapping finger on all three wooden bands are secured with small copper tacks and a tiny copper wire staple at the tips.

L501 19th century New England original gray painted firkin with tongue and grooved staved sides secured with steamed and bentwood bands. Each band is secured with small tacks and one tiny staple at the end of the fingerlap. Remnants of paper label on lid. Nice wear.

L534 Small sized 18th century New England original red painted pine blanket chest with dovetailed case and applied bracket base with nice cut out feet. Applied simple molded edges surround the lid. The clean, natural patina interior boasts a lidded till and original strap hinges.

L541 Late 18th to early 19th century Pennsylvania pin top worktable with an extra thick one-board top and mortised and pegged apron resting on sturdy, gradually tapered legs bearing its original creamy yellow painted surface.

L537 Early 19th century one door cupboard with original painted surface, dovetailed case and beautiful, fully mortised raised panel door that retains its working lock with key. Applied molding surrounds the top and cupboard rests on applied bracket base with cut out feet. Clean, natural patina interior with sturdy shelves for storage. The wood is pine with square head nail construction.

**SOLD** L400 19th century wooden Apple Tray with the old blue paint. It is well-crafted with beautiful form featuring canted sides and cut-out handles on all four sides. It is in tight and sturdy condition. Circa 1850.

L464 Sturdy 19th century New England Apple Tray retaining beautiful old dry blue over the original gray painted surface with the initials “N.R.” painted in white in the center. The top edges are also adorned with white paint. The tray features deeply canted sides with shaped cutouts on each side for convenient carrying.
