Straight sided salt-glazed crock with applied handles, stamped “2” “Gardiner Stone Ware Manufactory ….” This Stone Ware Manufactory was located in Gardiner, Maine from 1876-1892. Measurements: 9 ¾” top diameter x 8 ¾” tall.

The side, near the base, is impressed with the maker’s stamp: “R.C.R.” Minor chips to rim, otherwise great condition. Measurements: 6 1/8” x 6 ¼” top diameter x 10 ½” tall.

A sweeping pattern of brushed flowers enhances this rare, oversized vessel. Peter Hermann was one of Maryland’s premier 19th century potters. Circa 1855 – 1870. Chips to rim. Measurements: Top opening is out of round and measures 9” x 8”. Overall height is 13 ½” tall.
