RM1647 Pair of hanging wall sconces featuring a brass flaming torch motif mounted on an oval wooden backplate with each of the candle arms constructed of bent and curled, “US” marked Bayonets. One of the sconces features two bayonets with nickel plated surfaces (~11 ½” wide) and the other features two bayonets with blued surfaces (~12 ¼” wide). The locking ends of the bayonets, meant to attach to rifles, becoming the candle sockets for the sconces. Backs measure ~5 ¼” wide x ~19” tall.
