**SOLD** L532 Stunning 18th century Pennsylvania Blanket Chest with three dovetailed drawers bearing old blue (19th century) paint over original pumpkin painted surface. Chest retains its original strap hinges and working crab lock with key. Dovetailed case with applied molding surrounding the lid, resting on an applied bracket base with tall cut out feet. Clean, natural patina interior boasts a lidded til with molded edge and a very unique “locking system” for the drawers below. Rosehead nail and wooden pegged construction. Circa 1750s.
