L502 Early 19th century New England covered wooden Firkin retaining original dark green paint with “S.S. WING” surrounded with detailed scroll decoration painted in black on the top of the lid. Nice dry, original painted surface. Constructed of tongue and groove softwood staved sides with overlapping finger wood bands secured with tiny copper tacks. The steamed and bent wood handle is secured with wood peg attachments.  Natural patina interior. 
Measurements: 14 ¼” top dia. x 15 ¼” bottom dia. x 14 ¼” tall.
