L501 19th century New England original gray painted firkin with tongue and grooved staved sides secured with steamed and bentwood bands. Each band is secured with small tacks and one tiny staple at the end of the fingerlap. Remnants of paper label on lid. Nice wear. Clean, natural patina interior.
Measurements: 7 3/8” diameter (top) x 8 ¼” diameter (bottom) x 7 ¼” tall.
