L469 Unique early 19th century Lancaster County, Pennsylvania original mustard painted two-piece stepback cupboard boasting an unusual configuration resting on an applied bracket base with cut out feet. The layout of the top consists of two fully mortised and pegged 6-windowlite doors that open to reveal shelves with plate grooves and a spoon rack along the front edge of the middle shelf. The layout of the lower part of the cupboard consists of three drawers over two mortised and pegged panel doors. The base of the cupboard is dovetailed. Nice, deeply beaded edges surround all doors and drawers and also adorn the internal edges of the backboards. The wood is pine with mortised/pegged with “T” nail and square head nail construction. Circa 1820’s.
