L395 19th century New England original gray painted pantry box with natural patina interior. Thick, steamed and bentwood sides secured to the top/bottom with tiny square head nails. Overlapping joints secured with copper tacks. Very early heavy wire staple ‘make-do’ repair to joint on lid tightly secures an old break.
Measurements: 15” top diameter x 14 ½” bottom diameter x 7 ¼” tall.
