**SOLD** RM1543 19th century New England small firkin bearing original grey painted surface. Staved and bentwood construction with wire bail swing handle with wooden handle grip. Overlapping finger on both the lid and top band of base are secured with small tacks and a wire staple at the tips. Metal band secures the bottom. Natural patina interior.
