**SOLD** RM1533 Early 19th century New England hand turned wooden bowl with slightly raised footed base retaining its original pewter gray paint with remnants of old blue paint. Thick walled with incised ring around outer edge of the rim. Evidence of slow turnings and nice wear visible on the outside. Grungy old natural patina with evidence of chop marks inside. Very solid and sturdy bowl. Slightly out of round.
Measurements: 6 ¾” x 7” top diameter tapers down to a 2 ¾” diameter slightly raised foot x 2 ½” tall. The rim is ¾” thick.
