RM1449 19th century Eastern Shore, Maryland blanket chest in original dark blue painted surface. Original pencil sketches of ships inside lid. Dovetailed case with applied cut out bracket base featuring a third foot in the front. Dovetail and square head nail six-board construction. Lid retains batten ends with beaded edges. Natural patina interior with glove box. Chest is painted on all sides – making it a great option to use as a coffee table! Circa 1860’s. Measurements: 37 ¼” wide x 16” deep x 21 ¼” tall
